Abstract

Abstract. As the creative industry grows, innovative ideas are key to staying competitive. One form of innovation that’s measurable is innovative work behavior. One of innovative work behavior’s determinants is work passion. Work passion relates to work-life thoughts that occur when professional and personal lives are integrated, described by the variable work-life integration. Thus, this quantitative predictive correlational study aims to determine the role of work passion on innovative work behavior and to determine the role of work-life integration as a moderator. 200 creative industry workers who live in Jabodetabek and have worked for at least one year became participants. Results showed that both hypotheses were accepted. Work passion plays a role on innovative work behavior and work-life integration is proven to act as a moderator with a debilitating effect. Results also showed high levels of innovative work behavior, work passion, and work-life integration in participants. Further analysis found that both dimensions of work passion had a positive relationship with innovative work behavior.
